Solar Lights and Power
We are all accustomed to those little landscape lights that use the power of the sun to turn themselves on and off and recharge themselves. They only need to be placed where desired in the landscape and be left alone until the bulb finally wears out. Did you know that now there are even large lighting solutions that work on the same principle? Today's solar outdoor lighting reduces one's carbon footprint and reduces a household's overall energy bill. And with the advancement of LED lights, there are even more incentives to take a closer look at solar outdoor lighting.
Having outdoor lighting installed at your home makes a very apparent green statement when people see the solar panel attached to your lighting solution. It says you are conscientious and prepared to make investments in your future. Solar outdoor lighting can be as simple as one street light or a host of lights to illuminate a backyard basketball goal or tennis court. They make excellent choices for security lights and the LED lights deliver the same intensity as previous methods of night illumination, and are much more durable as well.
There are many lighting solutions that are now becoming solar powered. Commercial signage, security lights that employ LEDS will always stay bright, never fade and deliver crisp white light. Transit stations and other stand alone structures are increasingly being lit by solar outdoor lighting as they provide a safe economic alternative to running electricity to these sites.
With durability, economics, and sustainability on its side, it's clear that solar outdoor lighting has a bright future. Check out on the web for retailers that have products that fit your lighting and energy needs.
The mission of our company, Solar Lights and Power is simple : to promote environmental conservation through the sales and distribution of earth friendly products. Outdoor solar lights assist in reducing our individual carbon foot prints one small step at a time. With solar outdoor lights we reduce electric consumption thus reducing monthly household bills; in today's economy this is a stimulus package we can all support.
To most environmentalists, the benefits of using sustainable materials are obvious and well documented; but to most of the rest of us, its uses are unclear at best.

Top-level comments on this article: (2 total)Good information. I have been considering the possibility of using solar panels to provide power for my house and cut the electric bill. I have heard that I could build the panels myself much cheaper and cut the entire project cost by about 75%. If this is true, then it makes it worth doing. If your electronically inclined I think it is possible. The science behind the panels is not difficult. I would still recommend having at least three solar contractors out to review you house and needs. You never know what info you will learn. Good luck. One point to consider if your have a newer roof all is set. If you roof is older and need of replacement soon you my wish to look into that first. There is also a stimulus package for solar panel installation. That may make if more interesting to go with an installer.
Very good information Bernadette. I can tell this is not just a business with you but a mission. Who would've thought that conservation could work hand-in-hand with economics :)? Thanks for posting this and welcome to SearchWarp.Thank for reading my article. Think every little bit helps. Just think if we each could cut our impact by just 5% ......that would be awesome. If we can help in that mission pass the word.
